It is with great sadness that our Choir say a farewell to Alex. A terrific and loyal chorister and a person who added to our group so much more than his singing voice. Front row of the Top Tenor section, visible, vocal and musically talented. Alex was a great mentor to new singers and always eager to encourage those for whom choral singing was uncertain territory - calming, reassuring and relentlessly positive.
Off stage Alex was fun, friendly and wise counsel. A man with feisty honesty and great wit together with a disarming ability to recognise nonsense.
A great team player and teacher Alex has left a legacy of jokes and brilliant memories to the Choir, and particularly to the Top Tenors. We will all miss his outstanding presence.
