What events do we perform at?

 

Cardiff Arms Park Male Choir undertakes performances on radio and television, at national and promotional events, provides corporate and after-dinner entertainment and sings at weddings. This Welsh choir can provide a complete show, including solo artists.

 

What music do we sing?

The Cardiff Arms Park Male Choir has a wide repertoire of music to suit all occasions. Great Welsh Hymns, spirituals, music from the Shows, famous opera choruses, folk tunes, pop tunes or lullabies. We are famed for the power, passion and sensitive interpretation of our music.

 

Do we perform on television?

​

The choir has appeared on television on numerous occasions, including appearances on BBC, Sky Sports, ITV, Channel 4, New Zealand and Australian TV and MUTV. The choir has filmed advertisements for Qantas airlines, appeared on Strictly Come Dancing and supported Ant & Dec in a link for Britain's Got Talent. We provided the opening sequence for ITV at the Wales v South Africa Rugby World Cup game.

 

Have we performed with any local stars and celebrities?

The choir has performed alongside numerous stars, including Frank Hennessy (our President), Hayley Westenra, Charlotte Church, Max Boyce, Peter Karrie, Shân Cothi, Gary Griffiths, Goldie Lookin' Chain, The Manic Street Preachers and Foreigner.

 

Do we perform at concerts abroad?

 

The Choir has undertaken numerous tours to; Scotland (Blairgowrie in 1993, Perth and Crieff in 2009 and 2011), Ireland (Kilkenny in 1998), the Czech Republic (Prague, Plzen and Karlštejnin 2004), France (Pleyben in 2004 Chatte in 2006 and Strasbourg in 2012), Switzerland (Le Brassus in 2006), Italy (Milan in 2006), Germany (Heilbronn, Satteldorf and Stuttgart in 2007), Poland (Kraków in 2009) and Spain (Santander in 2010). Clement Ferrand 2013 and the European 50th Anniversary Tour to Germany, Holland and Belgium in 2016. In September 2018 we toured Tuscany while we followed that with a trip to Clonakilty in Ireland in May 2022.

 

Where have we performed in the UK?

 

In the UK, the choir has performed in a variety of venues, including nine appearances at the London Welsh Festivals of Male Choirs in the Royal Albert Hall, singing before Wales v Fiji in 2002, Wales v South Africa in 2008 and Wales v France 2016 at the Millennium Stadium together with numerous appearances at Cardiff Arms Park itself. The choir took part in the World Choir at the National Stadium in Cardiff in 1993. The Choir performs at St David's Hall regularly and has a long history of concerts there, including Massed Male Choir concerts in 2006, 2009 and 2011. In 2017 the choir led the Massed Male Choir in the Wales Festival of Remembrance.

In May 2019 we appeared at the International Choral Festival in Cornwall and finished in a creditable sixth position.
