Ken Jones, baritone, sadly passed away on 17 February after falling at home in Rhiwbina, Cardiff.  Ken was a native Welsh speaker who came originally from Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen. He was immensely proud of his Welsh heritage and was a fun-loving man who revelled in the social side of the choir as much as the singing side.  He was a perfectionist in everything he approached and was ever present at rehearsals and concerts and practised fastidiously at home.  Ken had a wonderfully rich baritone voice and would perform solos when called on to do so.  He was most renowned for his beautiful rendition of ‘Eli Jenkins’ Prayer’ which became his signature piece.

A gentleman, a great chorister and a very good friend
